Return of the King (boardgame)

Published by Rose Art. estimated release date May 2004

Released September 2004 and should be available at Walmart.

News Update (08/26/04):  The game is now supposed to be available through Wallmart (according to Rose Art, previous two games were available at Target), as of Aug 2004.  I have not been able to find a copy myself.  Nothing yet on Wallmart.com or on ebay.  I'll keep checking and let you know.

This is the third game in the series and is supposed to be able to be connected to the other two to make one big game.  Please note that there are two sets of boardgames that look similar and can be played with all three, but are published by different publihsers.  The other set is produced by Impact International and comes from the UK.  This boardgame comes from Rose Art and is produced in the US.  It is due out Summer of 2004, around May.  As usual, I'll post more information and pictures as they become available.

I asked the folks at Rose Art if the Return of the King game is on track.  They said they are play testing it and it should be out this summer (2004).

The game is now out and should be available at a Walmart.  I got an email from someone found one there.  www.Unclesgames.com also sells the game.  I have seen a couple of copies on ebay.  Not easy to find, but maybe we will see more of it soon.

This game is supposed to have a Bonus Game called Journey to Mount Doom.  There is a separate set of rules for this game.  As usual, I will try to let you know about both parts of the game.

There is a possible typo on the box.  The box contents say there are 74 Ring Cards, but myself and another person (Andy) only counted 72.  The cards I have are number are from 149 to 220.  I am guessing it is a typo.

Here are a couple of pictures of the box.  The back of the box has a picture of the board.  Once I set up the board, I will post a picture.
